The idea to make an open shoe with the robotic arm was born between Alexandre Dubord, Cecilia Raspanti, Anastasia Pistofidou and I a few months before Fab14. At some point we imagined making it happen for the event but the logistic did not pick up and the project got postponed. I mentionned it to few people of the ecosystem in Toulouse and received really enthusiastic feedback so I started to develop a concept.
I take openness and sustainability as my main parameters.
Openness means that everyone can access the code and replicate the concept into a iterative version.
Sustainable means there is research to integrate local, recycled and/or upcycled materials and local iteration making purpose.
From there I let my mind flow.
